Machine Embroidery & Appliqué Workshop

More details coming soon
Learn to ‘draw’ with your sewing machine. During this workshop you’ll discover how to create a range of stitches and techniques using freehand machine embroidery and appliqué.
Leah will have lots of inspiration and source material to work from at the workshop. But feel free to bring along any pictures and photos to work from for inspiration if you would like to create your own ideas.

Leah will teach you a number of techniques, exploring the delights of machine embroidery and different appliqué techniques, working with colour and pattern and learning to design a finished piece of textile art. You'll have samples to inspire future designs. You will then have time to develop these new found skills and begin to create a project of your choice which could be incorporated into a cushion, bag or framed to become a picture.

Materials Included: Fabrics, Felts, Threads, Yarns, Buttons and Bondaweb. Basic tools of the trade are also provided.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a beginner’s workshop. If you already know your way around the sewing machine, feel comfortable using it, threading, loading the bobbin, then this class is for you.

Classes are small to ensure you get the personal tuition you need to help with your project and you get the best out of each workshop we host.
