About Leah Halliday
Leah Halliday initially started as a freelance designer in the fashion industry after having studied for her degree and postgraduate course in Glasgow. She then lectured in Oxford before returning to Scotland with her husband and daughter.
The business began with designing bridal wear. It is the same passionate attention to detail that has led Leah Halliday to introduce a range of complimentary products to her range.
After searching for her own wedding dress she realises how diffucult it can sometimes be to find anything that is a little bit different from the majority of designs on offer.
Leah’s own personal inspiration behind her designs comes from her love of beautiful fabrics, fabric manipulation, embroidery techniques, hand beadwork, vintage bits and pieces and designers from the fifties.
With her passion for vintage clothing she understands how difficult it can be to find a vintage dress that fits modern day body shapes and fabrics may have perished and deteriorated over time.
So for the bride who loves the look of vintage wedding dresses but just cannot find one. Leah can work together with clients to capture the look of the past, incorporate couture detailing and create a dress that fits perfectly.
